The Ford Mustang isn’t a lightweight when it comes to performance, but now the Shelby team has outdone themselves. The 2018 Ford Shelby Super Snake arrives with more power than ever before. The team went beyond creating a muscle car and created what very well could become an American legend.
The Super Snake package has been available since 2015, but it’s never featured this kind of performance. A Mustang equipped with the package will boast a minimum of 710 hp. Opting for the top performance upgrade will net drivers more than 800 hp and a 0-to-60-mph of just 3.5 seconds.
The 2018 Ford Shelby Super Snake rolls out on 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with an available track suspension and wide-body kit. Brembo® brakes provide the utmost stopping power, and trust us when we say this sports car will need it.
Even without the package, the Ford Shelby Super Snake is a sight to behold. The tuned muscle car bears a striking stare with a front splitter, side sills, and rear spoiler. The performance-themed monster of a muscle car will feature unique serial numbers and a spot in the Official Shelby Registry. It should come as no surprise that the 2018 Ford Shelby Super Snake will see a limited production run.
Of course, we likely won’t see the Super Snake on our dealership lot, but we do have the already powerful and sporty Mustang on our lot for a test drive here at Palmetto Ford.
The 2018 Ford F-150 is the latest in a long line of popular, unstoppable pickup trucks from Ford, and now drivers have a new and more efficient option when it comes to engines. With an available 3.0-liter Power Stroke® diesel engine under the hood, Ford F-150 owners now have access to all-new power and capability – as well as fuel economy. The Ford F-150 diesel engine was recently rated by the EPA to have a fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and a staggering 30 mpg on the highway.*
This fuel rating is possible due to the 2018 Ford F-150’s lightweight aluminum-alloy body construction and a new, smooth-shifting 10-speed SelectShift ® automatic transmission. Additionally, the Power Stroke diesel engine itself is made from aluminum and graphite for a lighter build.
The 3.0-liter diesel engine also offers a best-in-class power rating of 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to tow up to 11,400 pounds. The engine shares its technology with the F-Series Super Duty’s new 6.7-liter diesel engine, which makes the Super Duty trucks the most powerful heavy-duty pickup available on the market.
Models of the 2018 Ford F-150 equipped with the 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine option will begin shipping to dealers in May of this year, so make sure to come out to Palmetto Ford to try them out for yourself.

If you want natural beauty, you won’t be disappointed by a visit to Charleston, South Carolina. The city is known for its lovely nature, as well as its collection of beautiful historic buildings which make quite an impression on both visitors and natives alike. These things combined with the generous number of stunning venues and the area’s love for the arts make Charleston the perfect location for the annual Spoleto Festival.
The Spoleto Festival was created in 1977 as an American counterpart to Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Italy. The festival was founded largely by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Gian Carlo Menotti and Christopher Keene. The two gentlemen sought a place that would offer just as much charm, beauty, and space as Spoleto, and Charleson was the perfect location. Now the program has run for 40 years, providing Charleston natives and visitors a place to catch everything from theatre premiers, symphonies, jazz, opera, dance, and more.
This year’s festival begins on May 26, 2017 and runs through June 11th and takes place at venues like the Charleston Gaillard Center, City Hall, and Dock Street Theatre, many of which are just a short drive from Palmetto Ford Lincoln. Visitors can catch things like the US premiere of Vivaldi’s opera Farnace, multiple performances of Waiting for Godot, the Charles Lloyd jazz quartet, and much, much more. For tickets and a full lineup, visit spoletousa.org.
