Ford is dedicated to taking responsibility for its practices and has consistently been named one of the world’s most ethical companies. This year marks the eighth in a row that the Ethisphere Institute has named Ford to the list. The Ethisphere Institute focuses on company involvement in sustainability and outside initiatives.

World's Most Ethical Companies

Ford has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the eighth year in a row.

The top honor puts a focus on Ford’s good corporate citizenship. Factors for the American automaker’s placement include supply chain sustainability and progressive initiatives, like the Partnership for a Cleaner Environment.

“Strong ethics and corporate citizenship are the foundation of our business philosophy, which demonstrates to our customers what we stand for as a company,” said Bill Ford, Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman.

Ford aims to maintain long-term relationships with suppliers by actively engaging with them to meet the company’s standards. The automaker is also active in safe working conditions, monitoring human rights, and various other initiatives.

The World’s Most Ethical Companies is just the most recent prestigious list that Ford landed on.  Newsweek named the automaker the Top Green Company in 2016. Forbes named Ford America’s best Employer in 2016 as well. That’s just the tip of the iceberg!

We here at Palmetto Ford Lincoln are proud to see Ford ranking among the world’s most ethical companies!

2017 Ford Fusion

A family car with a little thrill!

The 2017 Ford Fusion is the best car for your family. Says who, you ask? Says the people. The intelligent, advanced, sporty 2017 Ford Fusion just received the 2017 MotorWeek Driver’s Choice Award for the Best Family Sedan. MotorWeek reviews all sorts of vehicles each year and picks the very best in multiple categories by assessing things like innovation, safety, and durability.

So what is it about the 2017 Ford Fusion that makes it great for families? A lot of the value comes from the many advanced technologies that make the Fusion easy and safe to pilot. For instance, the Ford Fusion is the first Ford vehicle on the continent to offer adaptive cruise control. This feature monitors your speed and distance between you and other vehicles, making adjustments as needed. The Fusion is also equipped with Ford’s first pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection. There are many other driver-assist technologies in the 2017 Ford Fusion, which give drivers the confidence to transport their families safely.

But a family car needs to offer a little thrill to balance things out, so the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport is equipped with a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost. This makes the sedan peppy, while the intelligent all-wheel drive promises that the Fusion Sport will have a smooth and controllable handling. Come by Palmetto Ford Lincoln to test drive the 2017 Ford Fusion and see for yourself why this is the best family sedan around.

2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty - Motor Trend Truck of the Year

When Motor Trend chooses any of their “Of the Year” awards, they don’t take it lightly. It’s not just about a couple of judges picking their favorite vehicle. It’s about scrutinizing each entry with tests of engineering, strength, safety and value. So while it’s no wonder that the 2017 Super Duty truck is the Motor Trend Truck of the Year, it’s no simple victory either.

Part of what makes the 2017 Ford Super Duty stand out among its competitors is a combination of strength and smart features. The Ford Super Duty is made to be used for expert towing. Its towing power alone earned it some extra points. While the Ford F-350 stands out as the biggest and baddest, the F-250 is no modest contender, either. It offers up 430 lb-ft of torque, a 2,930 payload capacity and a 12,500 towing capacity.

The F-250 Super Duty truck was ranked high on the Motor Trend list not only for its power, but for its efficiency and its safety. The latter impressed the judges, thanks to an array of features like collision warning and trailer sway control. From top to bottom, inside and out, the 2017 Super Duty earned its Motor Trend Truck of the Year award.

Wards 10 Best Engines of 2016

The 5.2-liter “Voodoo” V8 engine powering the new Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang has been named one of Wards 10 Best Engines of 2016. It was the only muscle car V8 to be featured on the list and marked the 28th time a Ford engine was honored by WardsAuto.

The Shelby GT350’s engine is derived from the previous-generation 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8, which also won Wards 10 Best Engines trophies in 2011 and 2012. This time around, the V8 features a six-speed manual transmission, old-school port fuel injection, and an 8,250 RPM redline for maximum goodness. Come over to Palmetto Ford and rev the thing—you’ll love it!

In fact, given that it doesn’t use forced induction, WardsAuto found it mightily impressive that the 526-horsepower V8 still managed to reach the 100 hp/L threshold.

“The Voodoo engine does everything well, from puttering around town to frightening small animals. WardsAuto editors consider it the pinnacle of internal-combustion engineering,” said Tom Murphy, WardsAuto editor.

The 2015 Ford Transit six of nine van segments!

Ford won more Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America awards than any other manufacturer for 2015, racking up a whopping eleven awards in total.

This was thanks to the new 2015 Transit, America’s best-selling commercial van that has led Ford to its best first-quarter commercial sales performance since 1995.

Various configurations of the van were named as the best value for fleets in five out of Vincentric’s six full-size van categories, including best half, three-quarter-, and 1-ton cargo van, and best half- and 1-ton passenger van.

The 2015 Transit Connect XLT was also named the Best Fleet Value in the Mini Passenger Commercial Van category, and three additional models were honored with their own awards: the Taurus large sedan, the Explorer large crossover, and the Expedition large SUV.

That adds up to nine awards, with the remaining two earned by Ford’s Lincoln luxury division.

It’s going to be hard to beat eleven awards in a single year!
